Lot consists of various pieces of World War I era field gear. The lot includes 4 forks, 8 spoons, and 5 knives totaling 17 utensils. Some are marked "U.S." while others are marked "U.S.M.C". There are 3 pocket knives, 1 is marked "Imperial / PROV. R.I. USA", another is marked "PAL BLADE CO. / MADE . IN U.S.A", and the third is marked "U.S. Marine Corps" There is a shaving kit and other shaving accessories including field mirrors, foot powder, tooth brush, soap container with 2 bars of soap, 2 brushes, a whistle, 1917 dated bible, complete sewing kit, and 2 first aid kits. The more desirable pieces of the lot are the food tins, including 1 M1910 condiment tin which is marked "American Can Company" and is empty. 1 ration tin is a M1916 bacon tin and is marked "Model of 1916." There are 2 full hard bread containers that have never been opened. They are marked "Hard Bread / 8 OZ. / U.S.Q.M.C" These tins are hard to find unopened. All pieces in this lot exhibit blemishes from service wear and age. CONDITION: Fair-very good. JLD
