These Swiss music boxes come from the mid-19th century. This one was is marked "PFV, St. Croix (Suisse)" which stands for Paillard Vaucher Fils. The 12" cylinder has ultra-fine pins that contain the 8 tunes listed on the underside of the lid. The mechanism is wound with a lever and there are two control switches: Stop/Play and Change/Repeat.
Condition: (Excellent).
