Circa 1936. Box has four-sided lithography, complete but does have some creasing. One of the most difficult Popeye boxes to find and shows nice depiction of Popeye flying in airplane and smoking pipe. Plane is marked "Popeye the Pilot" on wings and "No. 47" on both sides of fuselage. CONDITION: Plane is bright, colorful with original tail fin, prop and pipe. Box is excellent, toy is near mint condition. Has to be one of the best examples known. From the Jeff Landes Collection. CORRECTION: Circa 1936
