Shinogi zukuri blade with suguha hamon and Komaru boshi. Ubu nakago with single mekugi-ana. Kiri yasurime. Itame hada. Mounted in shirasaya resting mounts. While unsigned, the NTHK certification attributes the blade to Hosokawa Masamori and dated to late Edo period, 1848. Cross beaded gilt habaki. During the certification the sword received 70 points, earning it a Kanteisho origami, which is included. CONDITION: Very good. Blade is in good polish with some scattered ware and dotted openings. Blade has no chips to cutting edge. Mounts are very good. Kanteisho papered swords are very good and a step above the "guarantee of authenticity" origami. EW
