Large vintage impressionism style framed oil on canvas city scene painting of Allentown and church in foreground, beautifully painted by Melville Stark (American, 1903 - 1987). Bright scene with colorful houses which stand out in the background, with figures of people coming and going to church on a lovely summer day. This painting is signed by the artist in the bottom-right corner, and nicely mounted within a painted gold tone modern wood frame. There is some canvas craquelure, otherwise in very good to excellent vintage condition.
