Appealing and desirable 12" fashion doll, attributed to Bru, and incised "A". She has tiny blue glass eyes, a very defined nose and a hint of a smile on her lips, hence the name "Mona Lisa" smiling Bru Fashion. The A model is the smallest known; as the letters of the alphabet progress, the height of this model grows. She has a bisque socket head, on a separately made bisque shoulder plate and is dressed in a long white wool walking dress with long train and fine lace trim. She has an all kid body with separately stitched fingers and only slight curves at the elbows and knees, without gusset joints. The shoes are made of off-white silk with flat soles, and all underwear is antique. Although she appears to be in excellent condition, the dress is sewn around the bisque shoulder plate so the entire shoulder plate has not been seen, but has been inspected as far as possible, by touch and prodding, and seems to all be present.
