Toy is made by Jerome B. Secor in Bridgebort Connecticut, circa 1882. Great provenance on this toy from the Perelman Toy Museum and from the Bob Brady Collection. One of the finer known examples, with all original clothing, lead head and hands. When activated, the hands go up and down and he plays bones instruments. Original wooden platform. Figure is fixed by cast iron seat. Truly a piece of Americana folk art.
