Circa 1870. Boston, Massachusetts. Among the finest forms of weathervanes produced, Harris' Blackhawk is statuesque. This full bodied copper example stamped "HARRIS & CO", on the proper right chest at the midpoint. It is a flattened full body form, with good verdigris. All seams intact, several in-use old bullet holes that have been filled. Mounted on a museum stand.
Condition: (Very Good).
