Pottery covered jar by Rupert Carabin (French, 1862-1932) depicts a nude woman leaning against a large pepper. The top of the box is the top of the pepper with stem. The box is finished in a green glaze with red glaze highlights on the pepper. Marked on underside with conjoined initials "FRC 98". Very good to excellent condition. Provenance: From a Portsmouth, NH Collection, From Macklowe Gallery, NYC.
