Manufactured for GI's in World War II to have a souvenir and sold as tourist items. Etched blade with "VICTORY" and "KIRPAN" at forte. False edge along spine. Evidence of an old chrome finish that is chipping, "275" in red paint on ricasso, legible with blade down, indicating possible museum display. Roughly manufactured grip of bone with four black spacers. Pommel in the form of an eagle with chained handguard, quillions with lion heads. CONDITION: Good. Chrome finish chipping. Grip with age patina. EW
