The artwork on this calendar was originally painted by H.C. Edwards. This is an extremely difficult to find calendar. Measures 26-1/8" high x 14-5/8" wide without frame. Top metal band is visible. The original pad displays the month of May which means it is missing January through April. It is a favorite amongst collectors because of its cowboy-grizzly bear action scene; as the rider wields a Model 1895 carbine. Besides the missing months, this calendar is in excellent to near mint condition. There are a couple of very minor stains at the top near the border, otherwise it is bright with no fading. Blacklight shows no signs of inpainting or repairs. H.C. Edwards died in 1922, the year this calendar was released. Edwards' favorite subjects were images of the Old West and not nearly as prolific as the numerous other Winchester illustrators.

Item Dimensions: 27 - 1/2" x 16".
