This is Steiff's almost largest standard line early postwar standing kangaroo. She is 50 cm, head and arm jointed and made from off white mohair which has been hand-airbrushed with tan patches and black details. She has large feet, a long tail and felt lined ears. The tips of her paws and feet are highlighted with black airbrushing while her back has brown airbrushed highlights. Kangoo has black and brown pupil eyes and a black hand embroidered nose, mouth and claws. She also has a mohair pouch-complete with her original velvet Steiff Joey, who stands around 8 cm. Baby is standing, unjointed and has grey felt ears. Kangoo was manufactured in 14, 28, 50 and 65 cm from 1953 through 1966.
