This double casing for two Colt 1860 Army Models is of the very highest quality throughout with brass bound corners, push button locks, and gilded brass escutcheon. The wood itself is of the very finest figure and grain, finished with a high polish piano varnish. The interior is of wine red velvet and paper lining on inside of lid and red cloth on bottom of case. Partitions are all fine. Includes paper wrapped Eley cap tin, Colt's patent slant charger flask with much original lacquer on body and several dents; spout with some gilding remaining and top with considerable remaining. Colt's patent 1860 Army mold with nearly all original finish. One pack of Hazard's Cartridges and extra parts including nipple and mainspring. The beauty and quality, as well as the condition of this case, cannot be overstated. It would be perfect for a pair of Colt factory or Nimschke engraved 1860 Armies and would greatly enhance their desirability and value.
