Luftwaffe officer's sword with a "SMF, Solingen" marked nickel-plated blade very light scattered marks, and nice visible cross graining. Blue leather washer is present. Early nickel fittings have moderate wear, patina, and staining retaining less than 30% of their silver finish. The 4 swastikas retain 85+% of their gold finish with scattered marks and patina. Blue leather wire wrapped grip has light wear, and the wire is intact with patina. Blue leather wrapped alloy scabbard has light wear with light scrapes and pressure dings. Nickel fittings have light wear, patina, and a couple of scratches. the number "218" is stamped on the throat. Blue leather hanger exhibits moderate wear with 1 ring loop broken.
