Mid-19th century. Unusual hall stand is in the whimsical design of a conifer. It features three pairs of graduated serpentine arms joined to a central molded support shaft. The baluster turned rectangular base frame has a ropetwist gallery capped with acorn finials, centering a large drip pan for umbrellas. Each branch has turned posts for hats and coats. It is in good condition overall, with old surfaces, a mellow patina and in-use wear.
