Beautiful and rare leaded glass table lamp by J.A. Whaley. The 18" diameter leaded glass shade features a grape trellis motif. The shade features a beautiful background of soft lavenders and browns. Further decorated by dense series of grapes in multicolored granite-backed glass. Grape bunches are surrounded by leaves in various shades of greens. Great complexity and variation of color in the glass of the grapes. The shade sits on a patinated bronze Whaley table base. The four-socket base is finished in a dark brown patina. Condition: The shade is in excellent condition, free of missing or loose glass, with just a small number of tight heat cracks. The base is in excellent condition, free of dents or cracks, with just a small amount of scuffing to the pedestal. This lamp appears in "Mosaic Shades Volume 2" by Paul Crist, p. 97.
