Likely early 20th century, China. The stone lid is carved in deep relief with a conifer tree, beneath which rests an individual with jug reaching for the sky with three lines of calligraphy script in the center. The top lifts off to reveal the inkstone with a bat carved within. The base is marked with two chops. Very good original condition with untouched surface and dark chestnut brown coloration throughout.
Condition: Very Good.
