Caliber .80 bore, Barrel length 46-7/8”. Typical of rifles used by the colonists during the Revolutionary War. This is an original flintlock with French pattern 1728 parts. The Frizzen has been period refaced. Period repair at the rear of lock using lead and brads. The lock has French arsenal stamps. Stock is American. All metal is original untouched brown patina. Stock shows a repair at wrist with minor chips along the forend. This is an untouched, as found, American Revolutionary War, French pattern 1728 musket American assembled musket.
