European made percussion rifled musket with "AR 1843" in circle on buttstock. "GS" proof on rear of round rifled musket barrel. Walnut wood three banded stock with dished cheek area on comb and owner's initials carved in top near tang. Similar to many rifles imported to United States for use in the Civil War. Comes with socket style triangular bayonet and old period looking leather sling. CONDITION: Overall aged patina with visible rifling in barrel and visible cartouches. Finish has worn to a brown patina with usage marks. Missing cleaning rod. Good mechanics. DLM
