This gun features an original J. HENRY marked lock. Proper barrel with a circle P proof. Brass mounted. Has an incorrect brass belt hook. CONDITION: Most of the metal retains a pleasing patina with some minor pitting. The hammer has been artificially aged, possibly a reproduction. Lock does not fit the cavity well. There is an extra hole in the lock from a replacement mainspring. Brass has a mellow but cleaned color to it. The belt hook has a dark, possibly chemically enhanced patina to it. Wood has a repair extending from the front of the lock cavity around the bottom to the front of the sideplate. Good mechanical function. Bore has pitting. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
