Austrian made Model 1842 Calvary carbine imported to the United States just prior to the Civil War which saw great use on the Confederate side. Blued round rifled barrel with fixed open sights. Percussion lock converted from flint. Elongated back plate with saddle ring and stud. Walnut stock with iron hardware and cheekpiece. CONDITION: Overall good with metal turning to silver patina. Usual marks and dings from use and carry. Shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
