Of standard configuration throughout. Barrel retains considerable traces of original lacquer brown. Marked USN 1844 RPP. The lock with inside hammer marks N.P. Ames, Springfield MASS USN 1845. CONDITION: Markings slightly weak but no serious pitting. Brass mounts, stirrup rammer. Figured walnut three-quarter stock with some wear, minor marks, and no visible cartouche. Action is crisp.
