Of standard configuration throughout. Barrel with clearly visible naval anchor, US over WN P, WN probably being a naval inspector. Lock and barrel both dated 1851. CONDITION: Stock with coat of old varnish and what appear to be ship's rack numbers rather than the usual inspectors' marks on the side. Barrel with crisp markings and no appreciable pitting. Lock is dark brown with minor marks. Stock is worn. Brass mounts show minor wear. Action is crisp. Bore is good. We believe this to be an original naval marked specimen. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
