The octagonal brass barrel has Birmingham English proofs on left side, near breech and the top is marked "ALBANY". The lock is marked "POND & Co." in the center. Plain walnut stock with a small silver oval wrist escutcheon and silver barrel key escutcheons. Brass furniture. Wooden ramrod is a replacement. CONDITION: Brass barrel has been polished and retains a mellowing patina, markings excellent. Lock has been reconverted. Stock has had a long piece along the entire barrel replaced on each side. DMG
