.75 caliber with 39" round barrel. Bayonet stud used as front sight and finished brown. Slotted rear sight, Crown British proofs at breech. Lock is Crown over GR and marked "TOWER". Walnut one piece stock with three brass rod pipes, brass trigger guard, and brass butt plate. Indiscernible proofs on right side of butt. Produced in large quantities and used world wide by British troops and many Colonial troops alike until production ceased in 1854. CONDITION, Fine with a mellow brown patina on barrel and lock. Brass furniture has evidence of having been cleaned and polished for display purposes. Lock and mechanics function fine. Pan has significant burn out and corrosion from period use. Bore is dark but good. Wood is very fine and full sized with no evidence of refinish.
