The octagonal barrels, rifled throughout their length, signed "WILLIAMS & CO LONDON". Brass pin foresights, buckhorn rear sights. Boxlocks with push-on safeties. Actions sparsely engraved with florals and border. Hammers engraved en suite. Barrels with British gunmaker's proofs. Trigger guard sparsely engraved. Butt of finely checkered walnut. Steel buttcaps with cap trap. Short steel belt hooks. CONDITION: Good overall with mostly crisp metal and faint traces of finish. Checkered walnut butts rate fine with only very minor marks. Actions are crisp on both pistols. Belt hooks are fine. Fair bores. Oak partition case in good condition with original green baize lining; powder flask severely pinched, bullet mold. Case retains its original key. Split ring in lid with owner's name "Charles J. Mitchell". A good English cased set. MZ
