Produced in 1865 in Utica, New York with a contracted quantity of 5,000. 7-1/2" octagon barrel, 6-shot .44 caliber percussion revolver finished in blue with 2-piece walnut grips with US inspectors "RPB" on left side. Most saw little or no service and were sold as surplus after the Civil War by Francis Bannerman in New York. CONDITION: Good with over 40% of the high polish blue remaining with the balance flaking and turning to patina as most have done. The bore and chambers are exceptional and are possibly unfired. The action operates properly and crisply. The grips are superb with crisp markings. TDW
