4th Model 1851 Navy revolver serial number 166983, manufactured in 1863. 7-1/2" octagon barrel. Frame is cut for shoulder stock. Blue with case hardened frame, hammer, and loading lever. .36 caliber percussion. 1-piece varnished walnut grips. Complete with detachable shoulder stock. Walnut with brass hardware. CONDITION: Good overall. No original finishes remaining. Overall, revolver is a light grey patina. Matching serial numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. Very faint cylinder scene. Bore is dark. Action is crisp. Grips are near excellent with 60% original varnish remaining. Detachable stock is good overall. Walnut stock has been sanded. Brass has a medium mustard patina. -MKS-
