Although of a similar form to the standard Colt Model 1849 Pocket Pistol, this Model 1862 Colt Pocket Navy is chambered in the larger .36 caliber. Manufactured in 1862. Standard 6 - 1/2" octagon barrel with single line New York address and brass bead front sight, rebated 5-shot percussion cylinder with stagecoach scene, brass grip straps with rounded trigger guard, and single piece smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Good exhibiting a brown patina with some pitting. Cylinder scene largely obscured by pitting. Trigger guard taking on a red patina in some spots, with balance mellow. Grips good with finish loss and scattered impressions. Good shootable bore and mechanics. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, cylinder, trigger guard, and grip strap. Missing a grip strap screw and a trigger guard screw. BAS
