Famed as Colt's first large caliber big frame double action revolver. This gun retains nearly all of an early full nickle finish and is in caliber 44-40 with a 5 1/2" barrel. The barrel legends are readable but faint. Stamped .44 on trigger bow and under barrel but the etched panel that should be there is no longer visible. The lanyard is present. CONDITION: Indexes and locks up correctly. The action is smooth as butter. The bore is sharp as new. This should be a good shooter. The nickle has correct Colt look and if the barrel was re-marked, would be a sharp revolver.
