Barrel shows evidence of intentionally obliterated markings and has been restamped with a "P" and "5". All iron furniture also deeply stamped "5". Flat lockplate with beveled edges, center shows partially visible "VIRGINIA / Manufactory" and tail is marked "RICHMOND / 1816". Full length plain walnut stock. CONDITION: All iron components have been heavily cleaned and show scattered pitting. Lock shows some wear to markings and pitting, appears to be in its original flintlock configuration. Top jaw is a replacement. Stock shows some minor wood replacement around barrel tang and lock, otherwise with scattered bruises and marks from use. DMG
