Barrel cut with twisting slots, measuring 5" to impart spin, presumably to a steel arrow. The bolted front action percussion locks, sparsely engraved with scrolls, hammer engraved en suite. Barrel with Damascus finish. Steel trigger guard engraved en suite with lock. Walnut 3/4 stock with checkering at wrist. Engraved steel buttcap with trap for caps. CONDITION: Barrel good with considerable traces of original Damascus. Lock slightly patinated. Hammer with old break straight through, repaired inexpertly. Walnut stock with considerable original varnish and minor marks. Action is crisp. Fair bore. A good item for the collector of oddities. MZ
