Bead front sight with notch rear sight integral to tang. Brown Damascus barrel retained by a single stock key. Brass tipped iron ramrod, possibly the original, retained by a single ferrule with floral finial. Attractively formed cock with light pineapple engraving at screw and replaced screw. Bolted lock with waterproof pan with roller bearing frizzen. Sideplates engraved with florals. Trigger guard with urn finial, and floral stand on trigger guard. Butt with wave skipline checkering with applied metal dotting on skiplines. Flared butt with screw engraved with florals. CONDITION: Good. Barrel retains much of its browning with attractive Damascus patterning and even oxidation. Lock with heavy oxidation indicating prolonged use. Trigger en suite with lock. Wood has numerous bumps and bruises and some chipping, as well as some lifting where wood meets metal at trigger guard. There is a masterfully repaired crack in the wrist which is nearly invisible. A nice example of an untouched large bore European pistol. EW
