The basis for this custom rifle is the 1878 hammerless falling block action. A round barrel with a ramp front and sporting rear sight were added. This rifle sports a hand checkered walnut stock with an oil finish and pistol grip. The rifle is topped with an early high quality Fecker tube scope and mounts. The barrel is stamped Savage. CONDITION: The barrel retains approximately 95% of the reapplied high polish blue finish. The frame retains about 90% with some age freckling. Bore is very good.
