All matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, barrel, cylinder, cylinder pin and wedge. Features round barrel, rebated cylinder, brass trigger guard. Cut for shoulder stock. Numerous military inspector stamps "H" on backstrap, "H" and "L" on cylinder, CONDITION: Barrel is brown patina with sharp legends. Flashes of blue on loader, overall smooth blue-brown seamless blend. Frame colors have greyed out. Cylinder is blue-brown patina with wiped on finish, original nipples, safety pins are gone. No cylinder scene. One piece walnut grips are excellent with plugs repairs to bottom; no cartouche. Indexes and locks up fine. Strong rifling with frosted grooves. Nice representative example of one of the most widely used handguns of the Civil War. Comes in display box.
