British Mark III Enfield Snider Cavalry carbine made in England circa 1870. 19" round tapered steel rifled barrel with pinned blade front sight and rear flip graduated carbine style sight with repro leather cover. "1870 / ENFIELD" marked lock with "(Crown) / V-R" marking and plain trigger with ring for firing pin cover (missing chain). Snider conversion action with British broad arrow proofs. Walnut stock with brass trapdoor buttplate and trigger guard; steel saddle ring and barrel band. Buttplate has original cleaning rod and marked with unit designations on top. CONDITION: Gun has been cleaned with metal polished to white. Wood has been cleaned with usage marks and dings. Good bore with excellent mechanics. DLM
