Made circa 1797 by W.L. Evans in Evansburg, Pennsylvania. This gun has the "Liberty Cap" proofmark on the breech with the lock marked "U.S." and maker marked "Evans". Iron furniture and flashpan. Comes with original bayonet. CONDITION: Metal parts exhibit aged patina. Mechanically sound. Wood has some aged original finish with handling marks.
