This is a late nineteenth century double action revolver made in London by the famed firm of Wilkinson & Son that features a 4" octagon barrel. It is a Tranter patent with the dealer name stamped on top of the barrel. The frame, breech of barrel, trigger-guard and grip cap are all tastefully engraved. It is housed in an original period walnut case with 28 original cartridges and a cleaning rod. The lid has the Wilkerson trade label intact. CONDITION: Retains the majority of the period expertly re-applied nickle finish. The finely checkered walnut grips retain nearly all of their varnish with sharp checkering. The action locks up correctly and the bore is sharp with some light frosting.
