This is the classic saw handle, open top with scoop flutes. It is chambered for the .44 M&H cartridge. It is a second model, six shot, single action with a 7" barrel, factory engraved in the traditional M&H style, incredible MOP grips with lanyard ring. There are matching numbers stamped inside the frame, cylinder and barrel. The engraving features the Mexican Eagle with snake on left side with a Partridge on right side. Balance of engraving is a combination of simple scroll, chick tracks, and punch dot. There are no signs of the red or green enamel. CONDITION: Excellent. This revolver retains at least 98% original factory nickel, even on straps, with just some age oxidation in flutes and barrel. Engraving sharp as are legends. Grips are near mint. Case color still visible on hammer. Rifling is sharp and lock up like new. These were made in the 1870's. Wonderful gun.
