Made with back action locks, this composed double rifle has wide plain top rib and blade front sight. Jones Rotary underlever opener. Locks and action are engraved with light scroll. Splinter forend with wedge release is checkered in point pattern with serial number on inside and engraved steel tip. Replacement stock with capped pistol grip, cheek piece on left side is checkered in point pattern, has steel grip cap, and terminates with a horn buttplate. Housed in a modern green canvas and green felt lined case with leather straps and corners. Barrels with Henry's Patent rifling. CONDITION: Fair to poor. Action is quite loose with barrels and forearm on. No original finish remains on metal surfaces. Engraving has thinned. Stocks have been refinished, checkering thinned. Barrels are mostly patina with surprisingly good bores. Case is excellent with only minor rubs. A worthy restoration gun.
