Six shot barrel cluster, one rib stamped "PATENTED 1837. CAST STEEL". Engraved shield around nipples and double action engraved with scrolls Bar hammer stamped "ALLEN'S PATENT" on top and "J.G. BOLEN N.Y." on the left side. Two piece walnut grips with small German silver oval escutcheons above the screws on each side. Complete with its original figured walnut case with an original blue Bolen's label on the inside of the lid. Green partitioned interior complete with accessories, including a dual cavity bullet mold, a ramrod/cleaning rod, and a brass powder charger. CONDITION: Pistol is excellent showing very little use and retaining generous amounts of original finish, somewhat turned to brown. Generous cases of case colors on sides of hammer. Trigger retaining much of original polish. Grips very good showing some losses to finish. Action functions well. Case very good showing some minor marks, some minor losses and staining to label, and interior shows some light wear and fading. A very nice, cased pepperbox. DMG
