Embellished flintlock Lehigh style Kentucky with octagon barrel, with Lehigh rifle style sights and owner's name "Stephen Kocher 1831" engraved on brass inlay on top barrel flat. Curly maple fullstock with brass furniture including full saddleplate, pierced sideplate, and engraved captured side opening patchbox. Several other brass inlays include engraved floral design below cheekpiece, combpiece, full toeplate with patchbox release button, and buttplate border. Rifle also has 11 coin silver inlays including Lehigh style morning star in a circle. Other inlays include five bone or ivory inlays. Forestock features unusual carved panels between flat barrel key plates. Flintlock marked "J. Perry Warranted" and is controlled by a single trigger. CONDITION: Metal parts have aged patina and lock is a replacement. Rifle appears to be original length. Wood has aged look with no obvious restoration. Mechanically sound.
