John Palm worked in Wormeldorf, Pennsylvania circa 1850. Gun has full octagon smoothbore barrel with rifle sights signed in script "John Palm No. 32". Full curly maple stock with brass hardware including four piece engraved patchbox with floral finial. Ketland marked flint lock with single trigger control. Brass flat barrel keys. Original striped hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall nice aged patina with brass having been cleaned years ago and now has faded to a golden patina. Lock is a replacement and gun has been converted to flint. Wood burned out from usage as a percussion gun. No visible repairs or restoration with light handling marks. Mechanically functions fine.
