Johnson pistol has standard configuration. Ten thousand were manufactured. CONDITION: Barrel is very good, with only minor staining and no significant pitting. Lock is good, with crisp markings, and no significant pitting. Brass mounts are crisp and uncleaned. Stock rates fine, with extremely crisp cartouche LK and WAT clearly visible. Still has some original finish and raised grain. Action is excellent. Bore is very good. Lock and barrel both dated 1853. A good example of a later Model 1842 I.N. Johnson.
