Griffin and Howe Martini action Schuetzen single shot rifle in .30-06. Barrel is marked ".30/06 GOV." No import marks or visible serial number. Heavy round target barrel has a nonadjustable diopter front sight, and Unertl scope bases mounted. A "J.W. FECKER" 16 power scope is mounted. Fully adjustable early Lyman rear target sight is mounted on a base marked "AWP", "FEB. 1928", which is mounted on the tang. Rifle has adjustable set triggers. Receiver, trigger guard, and floorplate assembly have engraving with faint case hardening. A palm rest is mounted to a rail which is mounted to the forearm. Hooked Schuetzen butt plate is aluminum. Walnut stock and forearm are carved. CONDITION: Rifle is overall very good to excellent and retains approximately 85% of its original blued finish, and only faint case hardening. Scope retains approximately 75% of it original blued finish with light freckling. Scope is slightly cloudy, dual thin cross hairs are off center, and adjustments appear to function. Front sight hood is dented, rear sight assembly has light freckling, and palm rest has light to moderate freckling. Stock and forearm have light to moderate scattered marks, and light pressure dings. There is a thin 2" piece of the stock near the tang which is missing and the area was repaired many years ago. All 4 butt plate screws and 1 of the forearm screws are current replacements. Bore is bright, set triggers appear to function properly, and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
