Early 19th century Harper's Ferry rifle with Eagle over "US" marked lock dated 1805. Half-round, half octagon barrel with Eagle over "P" touchmark, "US" touchmark and number 2224 at breech of barrel. Rifle sights. Flint lock with single trigger. Brass furniture with standard two-piece patchbox. Walnut stock with what looks to be 22 German silver inlays of unknown origin. CONDITION: Metal has aged finish with lock being a reconversion. Wood has aged finish with cracks in front of lock and sideplate. Mechanically solid. Interesting gun. CORRECTION: The barrel of this rifle has been relined.
