Made circa 1870 in Birmingham, England and imported and marketed by the firm J.P. Clabrough & Bros. of San Francisco, California. This fine gun features London laminated steel barrels with Clabrough address. J.P. Clabrough was an associate of Samuel Hawken. This gun features a superbly engraved case hardened receiver. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with horn buttplate and splinter forearm with latch release and horn inlay. All metal parts are profusely engraved. CONDITION: Barrels retain 80% turning to brown damascus finish with pitted bores. Right barrel has a dent 2" from the end and the barrels have been cut. Action is worn to a silver patina with sharp engraving. Left hammer is broken and has been repaired. Stock has been refinished with minor dings and handling marks. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
