Interesting Double by a somewhat obscure maker, this gun features 28" Sleeved steel barrels with plain top rib that is engraved with makers name and a small burst of rose and scroll engraving. The gun has 2-1/2" chambers and proper proof marks from the sleeving. The full sidelock action is nicely scroll engraved with about 70% coverage engraving and both locks marked "J. McCirrick and Sons". Straight grip buttstock checkered in two point pattern with a silver oval near toe. The stock has a 1/4" wood extension and terminates in a black "Decelerator" brand pad. Splinter forend with Deeley type release is checkered in point pattern with engraved steel tip. CONDITION: Very good. Action retains a silvered finish with engraving slightly washed throughout from an polish. Top lever has been reblued. Barrels retain about 85% custom blued finish. Stocks show most of an older refinish with checkered recut during the period of use. There is an old repair behind the right lock. Mechanics are fine. Bores are good with some minor pits. JSL3
