Lot consists of: (A) Colt Model 1849 Pocket pistol manufactured in 1866. Fitted with standard 6" octagon barrel with front pin sight and marked with New York address. Rifled for .31 caliber ball. 2-piece walnut grips. Single action percussion revolver with 6-shot cylinder engraved with stage coach scene. Brass trigger guard and grip straps. CONDITION: Good. Barrel, cylinder and frame exhibit grey patina with no remaining finish and heavy freckling throughout. Freckling impedes part of cylinder scene. All visible numbers matching. Functions correctly when hand cycled. Bore good with strong rifling and light freckling. Grips in good condition with scatted marks and wear. Left grip panel has small repair at toe with replacement wood added and several larger impressions. (B) Colt Model 1849 Pocket manufactured in 1856. Fitted with standard 4" octagon barrel with front sight removed. Rifled for .31 caliber ball. 2-piece walnut grips. Reapplied nickel finish with fire blue screws. Single action percussion revolver with 5-shot cylinder. CONDITION: Fair. Retains majority of finish with scattered freckling and some areas of loss on top of barrel and near muzzle. Trigger and hammer exhibit grey patina. Markings faint with cylinder scene and barrel address not visible. All visible numbers matching. Loading lever pivot crudely replaced. Functions correctly when cycled by hand. Bore good with strong rifling and light freckling throughout. Grips in good condition with scattered impressions and losses to varnish. BAS
