Lot consists of (A) Cane style percussion shotgun made under "DAY'S PATENT" circa 1840 and often referred to as a poacher's shotgun. Cane has a smoothbore barrel with underhammer percussion action. Walnut handle with homespun walnut skeleton stock with glass tubes to hold caps. CONDITION: Metal is pitted with missing percussion nipple with well worn wood. Pitted bore and mechanics are stuck. (B) Ebony sword with carved grip and brass joint. Polished steel unmarked blade. Similar to souvenirs sold to tourists in North Africa in the late 1800's and early 1900's. CONDITION: Overall good with usage marks and dings. DLM
